COAT: A Mini Golden Mountain Doodle's coat needs plenty of grooming even though they do not shed. Daily brushing is recommended along with clippings every 4-6 weeks.
NAILS: Nails should be brushed or clipped 1-2 times a month.
EARS: Weekly ear checks and careful cleanings are suggested to help prevent ear infections.
TEETH: To prevent the development of dental disease, daily cleanings plus vet cleanings are preferred.
Training Tips
Mini Golden Mountain Doodles are usually quite playful and friendly. As long as they are well trained and develop a strict routine, they get along well with children and other pets and can even be open to strangers. Here are some training tips to help you and your pup develop the routine.
Get a Gate: This helps you to get them on a routine without them having accidents throughout your house on carpets and rugs.
Train Early: Start potty training, leash training, and walking without pulling. They can even learn common tricks such as sitting, shaking hands, playing fetch and giving a five.
Use a Potty-Training Bell: Many people successfully train their dogs to ring a bell to go outside. Check out this useful video on how to train your puppy here.
Get a Crate: For small amounts of time, crates are a great way to teach puppies when to go potty since they do not want to soil their small area.
Use Healthy Treats - baby carrots cut up into small pieces and small fruits like blue berries make a great heathy treat for your pup. Be sure to read this list of foods that should be avoided here.
